I've Got a Jar of... Wait, I Forgot.

Note: Sorry about the widescreen videos blocking stuff on the sidebar, nothing I can do about it. So, yeah. Enjoy the post!
I am currently obsessed with remix videos, you know, where people take clips from movies and turn them into songs? My friends showed a few to me, and I loved them. I thought maybe you would believe in thier awesomeness if I showed you some of my favorites.

Why is the Rum Gone?

I think the hobbits took it to Isengard...

They're Taking the Hobbits to Isengard

But, at least he still has a jar of dirt...

I've Got a Jar of Dirt

Now I must also share the first remix I saw, UPular

UPular

"That doesn't even rhyme!" "Yeah it does!"

I know it's jibberish, but tell me it doesn't get stuck in your head!?

So, do you love remix videos now?

A Harry Potter Post

Okay, in honor of the awesome theme park in Orlando that opened today, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, I'm doing a Harry Potter Post! (Most Potter fans should be able to follow me through this post, others might want to read the Muggle's Guide to Harry Potter. If you have no idea what a Muggle is, than you really should read it. Seriously.)

Okay we'll start with the Pic of the Week!

I find myself to be lacking the comedic strength to put even a bad pun on this pic. The best I could do was "Oh No! Baby Voldemort!". Yup.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter!!! (Ohhhh...)

Being a Super Potter Fan myself, I can't wait to head on over to the park. I mean, they have a replica of Hogwarts, the Hogsmede village (with some shops also from Diagon Alley) and 3 rides. Since I haven't been, you might want to read some posts on MuggleNet, a Harry Potter fansite.

Pic of the Week

I dunno why, I hear they have a fabulous pest control center!

Rosie

Okay, so you all know about my hamster Rosie (If I haven't metioned her before, my bad!) Well, recently I took a trip to Florida for three days and left her at home with tons of food and water. I have also bought her a new cage, with a new water bottle. I checked on her water today, and noticed that she had as much water in there as she had when I left her! The bottle is positioned strangly, making it rather difficult for her to drink. I thought she would figure it out, but obviously, she hadn't! I had noticed her being rather sluggish and tired for a few days, but I had no idea it was dehydration!

So, realizing her life was in danger, I pulled out the bottle and held it where she could drink. She practically ripped it out my hands chugging it. After 10 minutes, I filled a cup with water and left it in her cage, and she drank that nonstop! This happened about 5 minutes ago, and now she is back to herself, huddling in a little room at the top of her cage.

Hippopotomonstrosesquipedaliophobia

Hippopotomonstrosesquipedaliop-hobia:

Funny x2!

okayy, so her is the image of the week:
That's some good camouflage...

And a little story I heard:

One day a little girl came home from school crying. "What's wrong?" said the mother. The girl sobbed, "The teacher yelled at me for something I didn't even do!" "What?" asked the mom. "My homework!"

Well, I guess that concludes my post!

A Couple of Things in One Post...

Okay, first of all, I'm sorry I haven't posted in a while.

Second, check this out!

Sure, I'll believe that...
I'm gonna start posting funny images every week! (Give or take a few weeks)

Third (now this is serious. kinda, I guess) : at my school and amongst my friends, there hs been arguments about how many planets are in the solar system. I have researched  on the OFFICIAL (oh yeah!) Nasa website, and I will give you the one real answer: 8.

All the planets in our solar system: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto *

Pluto is no longer classified as a planet. It has now been classified as a dwarf planet and a plutoid.

There are 4 more dwarfs, 3 also classified as plutoids.

  • Xena- (a.k.a Eris) is also a plutoid, and is the closest dwarf to our planet, located in the asteroid belt.
  • Pluto-Just like Rudolph, he is the most famous reindeer dwarf planet of all. He has caused the most arguments among students, because most teachers still teach students that pluto is a planet. Well, THEY ARE WRONG! MWAHAHAHA!
  • Ceres- The only dwarf not classified as a plutoid.
  • MakeMake- a plutoid.
  • Haumea- was originally named Santa (Santa Claus is coming to town....) is a plutoid.

Now you have the facts!** There are like, 12 more space thingys on some dwarf planet consideration list, so be prepared for more!

*Note- I can't help imaging what different acronyms you can make...
**Note- These facts were at least valid on March 22, 2010, so don't blame me!

Well, I believe this concludes my post, so, as LOLCats say it;

Brain Test: Left or Right

Brain Test!

This is probably the easiest test you've ever done; no paper or pencil, not really any thinking, and only a basic knowledge of reading (which I assume you have!) and knowing the difference between clockwise & counter-clockwise!

Below is a spinning dancer. If you see her turning clockwise, you use the right side of your brain more. (creativity, big picture thinking, etc.)

If you see her turn counter-clockwise, you use the left side of your brain more. (logical, smartish, you know!)

(Update! Blogger isn't lettin' the pic move, but you can see it if you click here!)

Some people can see her switching directions, sometimes moving clockwise, sometimes counter-clockwise .(at least I see it like that!) That means you use both you right & left side of your brain often. in other words YOU ARE AWESOME(Like Me!!!)

Things I Hear at Random : Post 1

"I don't gossip- I just talk about people behind thier backs!"

"Let's blow up some aliens with a washing machine" (Long story...)

"Ooh... Sparkly..."

"Stupid hot wings"

"SHINEY!"

"Let's go hit a tree with a pole!"

"No frog dance!"

Multi-Talented!

Yep, you could call this guy that. I mean, who else runs up walls, skateboards, juggles, and much more in one video?

A Real-Life Invisible Man!

Chinese artist (and perfectionist) Liu Bolin actually paints himself to match his surroundings! He can blend into anything, rubble, bricks, bulldozers, so well that most people walking by don't notice him until he moves! Below are a few pictures of his work (see if you can find him!) No photoshopping here- I promise!

My Award-Winning Photography

Yes, I did win an award.

The Tales of Idiots: The Repairman, The Clerk, and the Co-Worker

The Tales of Idiots
Originally from Showdog.com Forums Post "Idiot Sightings"
Note: If you see your story here and want it removed, just tell me in the comments!

Welcome peoples! It is time for a story from The Tales of Idiots! (*Opens magic storybook*)
Our first story is of a Sears Repairman who is not very good at Math:

The Repairman With Bad Math
We had to have the garage door repaired. The Sears repairman told us that one of our problems was that we did not have a "large" enough motor on the opener. I thought for a minute, and said that we had the largest one Sears made at that time, a 1/2 horsepower. He shook his head and said, "Lady, you need a 1/4 horsepower." I responded that 1/2 was larger than 1/4. He said, "NO, it's not. Four is larger than two.."

We haven't used Sears repair since.
-------------------

Well, that was a lovely story (*smiles gleefully*)
Next is the story of a McDonalds clerk who can get very confused with money!

The Cash-Confused Clerk

My daughter and I went through the McDonald's take-out window and I gave the clerk a $5 bill. Our total was $4.25, so I also handed her a quarter. She said, "you gave me too much money." I said, "Yes I know, but this way you can just give me a dollar bill back." She sighed and went to get the manager who asked me to repeat my request. I did so, and he handed me back the quarter, and said "We're sorry, but we can not do that kind of thing." The clerk then proceeded to give me back $1 and 75 cents in change.

Do not confuse the clerks at McD's.
------------------------------
(*munching on a BigMac & fries*)

What? Oh, the story's over. Yes, well, our last story is about a co-worker, 'kay? (*goes back to munching burger*)

The Co-Worker

The stoplight on the corner buzzes when it's safe to cross the street. I was crossing with an intellectually challenged coworker of mine. She asked if I knew what the buzzer was for. I explained that it signals blind people when the ligh t is red. Appalled, she responded, 'What on earth are blind people doing driving?!'

She was a probation officer in Wichita , KS
--------------------------------
(*throws away burger*)

Ahhhh... what a lovely storytime this has been. Stay tuned for some more Tales of Idiots!
(*Digs Burger out of Trash* Oh BigMac, I missed you!)

Welcome to The New Butterfly's Garden!

Hello! Welcome to the All New Butterfly's Garden!

I decided to clean up a bit. If you are looking for the old Butterfly's Garden, all those posts are avalible at http://www.butterflyarchives.blogspot.com/.

A Bit About Me

My name is Annie. I'm a fifth grader in Alabama (Although Florida is my state. Go Gators!) and I blog on the internet (Which you must know, because you are reading this right now.) I started blogging when I was either 7 or 8 years old, with this very blog. I got into blogging when I told my dad (who also is a blogger, at Florida Sun Dog) that I wanted a website. He showed me how to, then I started blogging (and now everyone in my family blogs or has a website. Just look in the sidebar. Look. See it?). I believe this blog is now 3 or 4 years old, but all those post are in the Butterfly Archives (link above).

I've really taken to computers & the internet. I film & edit digital video often (To Youtube, duh da da duh!), design animations in GIMP (It annoys me that an animation you spend 2 hours on only lasts 30 seconds) , create graphic art (I'm better than some adults) , and even program my own websites using HTML & CSS (for people who don't know what those are, look at HTML Code Tutorial) I have helped my freinds with creating websites like Pie Lad for my bud Allie's comic, my little sister's site Emily's Palace (which I programmed from HTML) and a Harry Potter site my friend Linzi & I made called The Voldemort Butt Kickers. (Funny name, I know)

Stuff I do That Doesn't Involve the Internet

  • I make mini movies! Okay, so that does involve the internet a tiny bit. But I made a stop motion/live action/animated mini movie called Evil Barbie!
  • I do ballet & jazz dancing!
  • I SSSIIIINNNNGGG! (*glass breaking*)
  • I love riding bikes, rollerskating, ice skating (even though I only did it once), riding a caster board, jumping on a trampoline, and running in snow.
  • I watch Fred.
  • And for some reason, I make fun of the name Bob. (No offense to anyone named Bob who is reading this)
Okie Doke, now that ya know who I am, enjoy da blog!!!

-Annie
